The MOTION team was there to join the happy 5,000 spectators in a memorable event with lots of action and a very happy winner from the Netherlands driving for Mercedes-Benz EQ Team.
Formula E finished the season 2021 in Berlin at scenic former airport location ‘Flughafen Tempelhof’ – and the MOTION team was present.
5,000 people rocked the party this year on Saturday and Sunday each after a season last year without any spectators – what a treat and excitement.
The former airport in the middle of Berlin proved to be a perfect setting for the event. The qualifying rounds, the races themselves and the Allianz E-village with its many information events – it all happened right at this weekend.
Most teams like Porsche, Audi or Mercedes-Benz displayed their vehicles and provided lots of information around the electric revolution, these e-cars bring with innovation for tomorrow’s vehicles on our roads.
Imagine you can see a race with 5,000 other spectators in REAL – yes it really happened at the ABB FIA Formula E event in Berlin – an exciting final race of an extremely intense season.
Berlin Tempelhof - one of the first commercial airports in Germany that started scheduled flights as early as in 1923. Now used for international fashion shows and parties alike, the Formula E circus returned to Tempelhof to host the final two races of the 2021 season.
The champions of the season 2021: Nick de Vries from Mercedes-Benz and his team won the championship in a tight race that was only decided in the last rounds – Champagne celebrations seal the deal.
